Growth Management Visioning Workshop
You’re Invited! Growth Management Visioning Workshop
The Town of Stratford is undertaking a growth management exercise to re-imagine the most efficient and cost-effective approach to accommodate new development patterns in the community. This is a comprehensive process and public engagement is essential to the future of our Town.
Please join us on Thursday, May 4 from 7 – 8:30pm at the Emergency Services Centre (second floor) located at 4 Georgetown Road.
What can you expect?
Get ready to roll up your sleeves and evaluate several growth options in the Town and discuss the challenges and benefits to each possibility. The workshop will be facilitated by consultants at Stantec, who the Town has retained to complete the Growth Management Strategy and a Development Charge Study. This important work will help shape the future development of the Town and is part of the Shape Stratford project. Shape Stratford is a $1.1M initiative designed as part of the Housing Supply Challenge funded by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC). The project is intended to re-think the development process and requirements, to reduce pre-development barriers to housing that is affordable. You can find out more about the project by visiting the Shape Stratford website.
